McNally Family Room

Picture
after
my third project with the mcnally's was to redesign their family room.  there was nothing they liked about it, especially the yellowish-gold wall color.  michael and christina were open to all ideas and i knew i wanted to start with some great accent chairs.
layered draperies, some fabulous lamps and a rug that pulls all the colors together gives this room the adult feel the mcnally's were looking for.
a pair of photographs i took of their three girls, framed in my signature square format, finish off the room.

Petty Family Room

Picture
chris and noel petty hired me for a few projects in their new dilworth bungalow, one of which was the family room.  the client's existing artwork was the jumping off point for the entire palette.  tones of gold and plum are sprinkled throughout the room.
my absolute favorite things in the room are the pair of vintage chairs i had reupholstered in a reversible animal print fabric.  they add an unexpected pop against the existing leather chair and sofa.
a striae seagrass rug grounds the natural elements in the room and is super durable for pet and children.

Kozak Sunroom

Picture
the kozak's hired me to design the interior of their new sunroom addition.  this is no ordinary sunroom; it serves as a playroom for toddler chase and an occasional office for dad.
with a completely blank slate, i set off to find the perfect fabric.  the bold, modern floral was the inspiration for the entire room, and established the gray and yellow palette.  as i typically do, i wanted to play with texture and finish.  sleek stainless steel is warmed against wicker and wood elements.
these clients were afraid of pattern, but they obviously trusted me and i think the result is
spectacular!
