after
even a small starter office needs to look polished and professional, and this 8'x13' space is no exception. the existing space was less than inspiring and needed a complete overhaul. we said goodbye to lemon yellow walls and mismatched furniture and hello to sleek masculine finishes.
with my client's background in banking, i wanted to walk the line between traditional and modern. i always start a project with an inspiration fabric, and this one started with a charcoal stitched wool; i thought it would make a great bulletin board. two vintage guest chairs are my favorite items in the room and were a jumping off point for the remaining furniture scheme. a rectangular motif evolved and is present in the drapery fabric, rug and table lamps. at the end of the day, the only thing allowed back in the office was the existing office chair.
the office is now bright, sophisticated and ready for new clients.
