i've been working with newlywed clients hayley and ted on their kitchen in myers park for a couple of months now. hayley reached out after her realtor had seen an article written about evaru in a local magazine, and a meeting shortly followed. the couple had just purchased their first home and to say it needed an update was an understatement! they had no idea where to begin, except to gut the kitchen, but luckily i knew exactly what to do. take a look at the kitchen's original state...
the couple HATED the long center island that was occupying most of the space. they wanted a light, bright kitchen with great flow and traditional touches. say no more, i started working on the floor plan immediately. after showing them a few options, this is the plan being implemented.
this plan offers tons of storage, plenty of room for entertaining, and a great circulation pattern. i was still able to give them an island without the kitchen feeling closed in, very important! the room will be mostly white and gray, but i'm bringing color to the dining area! take a look at my design boards...
i stopped by last night to check on the progress and it's coming along well. the cabinets are in and now it's time for countertops and backsplash! stay tuned for the reveal, it's going to be quite dramatic! design swell. live well.
