i'm gearing up to begin phase 2 at norwood dental clinic! this time around we're tackling the business office. the space just isn't working for the staff, it's cramped and inefficient. it also doesn't help that there are nine metal filing cabinets taking up valuable square footage; those are being banished to the basement...
dr. lassiter asked me to come up with a concept that addressed all the staff's issues and took the space from blah to bold. here is where i began...
because the space is visible from the waiting room, via the transaction windows, i wanted to create a vocal point on the back wall. i chose this AMAZING schumacher wallpaper to give the space graphic punch, and also because i think it looks like teeth!
once the filing cabinets are removed, and the old cabinetry is ripped out, the back wall will become an additional work area. take a look at the design board.
to give the space privacy from adjacent treatment rooms, we're constructing a wall along the right side hallway. out with the old countertops and cabinets, and in with new modern replacements! by looking at the existing office, i thought the staff could use a pin board to help keep things organized. keeping with the black and white concept, i chose a trina turk fabric. it will be a great backdrop for all their notes.
and the design board for the transaction wall...
demo begins september 6th, install pics coming soon.
just wait until you see the before and afters!!!
design swell. live well.
