so, my same clients that are expecting the twins with the surprise nursery have also asked me to design a bedroom that their son & daughter can share
since they have to make room in the additional bedroom for the
nursery …. this was a challenge, I will admit.
two boys or two girls would have been a breeze but a joint bedroom…a little bit tricky. my challenge was finding a fabric as my jumping off point… something that wasn't too girly or too boyish. Jessica wants to have some pink in the space so her daughter will feel like it is her room too but not over the top for her son. after showing her a few options that would have been perfect, we finally agreed and landed on a really cute design for the joint big kids room…. take a look at my ideas…
I am excited to get it all set up for the kids! we are keeping an existing bunk bed that was made for the family, and incorporating some other pieces that will
really pop in the space….. like this vintage dresser I came across
painted Benjamin Moore 'erin green' ..
and this super fun area rug that will pull all of the colors together…
even though Sadee Gray has to give up her room, I'm sure she will love this new big kid room that is exploding with color & fun! I am looking forward to this install!
check back for the reveal coming soon!
design well. live well.
design is a way of life.
