they're here! two little baby girls....early!
i was out on vacation last week and got a text from my client jessica saying she was having the babies today. i knew that was going to happen but luckily i was prepared!! we were returning from florida on thursday anyways, so the unplanned friday install wasn't a problem... i quickly got a hold of ashley to see what her schedule was like because i was going to need help pulling this off.
to recap on the project, my clients were wanting one more child and instead were blessed with 2 more on the way. while expecting, they tackled a redesign of their kid's room (read here), a renovation in their living room (more on that later), a spruce up in the master bedroom & we added a complete moulding treatment to the foyer & hallway. whew! it was a lot to complete in such a short time frame, but we got it done.
the couple chose not to find out the genders of the babies so we agreed on design concepts for twin girls, twin boys and one of each. i received the ultrasounds a few days later and started ordering everything for the nursery. how fun!
take a look at the initial design concept:
the curtain fabric was my jumping off point. i love the combination of pink, chartreuse and aqua. we used their existing jenny lind crib and purchased another one to match.
i had them painted a bright pink in a low VOC paint. i kept the walls a neutral cream so all of the other colors would be able to stand on their own. its such a bright happy place for these twin girls!
jessica has been a dream client and has trusted me to do what i think will look best, she has let me surprise her multiple times now and has made my job super easy!
up next is their living room reveal......
design is a way of life.
