I was finally able to complete the Renfrow's living room after waiting for what seemed years for a media cabinet to arrive. It was a new introduction at the last market and well, it took forever to arrive. I am so thankful for patient clients like Stephen & Tracie. It was well worth the wait.
I met the Renfrow's back in the fall when they just moved into their new home. They upgraded in size and had a lot of empty rooms to tackle. Lucky for me they were blank slates, the couple wanted a new grown up look… so out with the old stuff and in with a new look to go with their new home.
Phase 1 consisted of their living room & foyer, but I talked them into completing the dining room while we were at it since they were getting a nice table, set of chairs & buffet from a friend, why not finish it off with the rug & panels… so they agreed :-)
The goal for the main level of their home was to make sure it flowed - so the color scheme is a mix of blues & greens in the dining room which is off the front door, to blues in the foyer & then adding a small dose of yellow in the living room.
So, let's jump into the reveal!!
My jumping off point for the dining room was this pretty watercolor floral fabric that has blues & greens and went perfectly with the wall color in here…
Take a peek at where we started…..
And the finished space…..
This home's foyer dumps you right into the stair way when you enter, once past that, there is another open foyer space which needed a cabinet & some styling…
In this space I wanted to incorporate a touch of yellow, which will flow nicely into the adjoining sunroom that we will tackle soon… more on that later…
Let's see the initial concept for this space..
And the finished space….
I think each space turned out nicely.. adding the accessories really makes each space look finished without being cluttered. To finish off the living room even further we are adding an additional floor lamp to the other side of the fireplace and adding in some art work to both sides of the TV.
The Renfrow's are such a sweet couple to work with and they really trust my design ideas and that speaks volumes to me! I can't wait to tackle the next phase!!
Thanks guys! :-)
