phase one for my client kerri hertzig was a huge success, although i'm still waiting on the mirrors for the office that flank the new console! take a look at my design ideas behind these projects by reading my original post.
the first order of business, to lighten up the walls of the foyer and office. for the foyer, sherwin williams 'agreeable gray' took the khaki walls to a perfect neutral. the office , originally painted a dark brown/purple, received a few coats of sherwin williams 'repose gray'.
once we had the walls corrected, it was time for a few updates in the foyer. a new entry rug, mirror, lamp and accessories transformed the space. take a look at the before and after pics.
a few details...
the office was almost an overhaul. the desk was great, so that stayed, but everything else had to go! kerri was open to wallpaper, yay for me! as i typically like to do, i suggested framing a wallpaper panel to create a focal point. i gave her a few options, but once she saw this amazing schumacher paper (my fav too) that was it...
the goal for this room was to lighten and brighten, and it wouldn't be one of my rooms without some bold pops of color. this is quite a transformation, take a look...
and how FABULOUS are these cornices???!!!! i'm still in love with this fabric!
these are the mirrors we're still waiting on, but after seeing them at market a couple weeks ago, they will be well worth the wait! they will flank the framed wallpaper panel.
and lastly, a few additions to the dining room. kerri wanted a centerpiece for her dining table, a few accent pillows for her extra chairs, and "something" on the last bare wall. well, that "something" became another framed wallpaper panel and it simply brought the room to life! take a look...
and there you have it! phase two has already started and will include the kitchen, family room and guest room. looking forward to sharing pics very soon!
design swell. live well.
