today i'm excited to share the install pics from the heller's family room design. i love how soothing the space is now, compared to how it started. there were some hideous things to deal with; the dark faux finished walls and the weird trim detail above the fireplace. but of course, i had a plan...
the room then
and now, so light and airy. it's like a breath of fresh air.
we also added a few things in the foyer and formal sitting room. the heller's dining room is a red/burgundy, so to carry that across the other two spaces, and make it blend was key.
it's the middle of the week, only one more school day before spring break starts! i hope you all have some fun things planned with your families and friends. we're taking off to the beach next week and i can't wait!
until next time! design swell. live well.
i'm really excited to share today's featured project. after waiting on the kitchen table to finally arrive, i was able to photograph this install. you can read about all the projects to get up to speed; this blog post focuses on the living room, foyer and kitchen areas.
since this was a new build, i don't have any before pictures, but i'll show you the design boards again to see where we started. let's start at the front door...
the living room...
this is by far the most tame palette i've ever used, and i love how it turned out! the colors are so soothing and they all flow together to create a cohesive main level for my clients. i'm still in love with all the #arteriorshome lamps i used for this project, stunning! until next time, design swell. live well.
i've been so busy, i almost forgot to share a preview of this project, our install is next week! better late than never i suppose...
i've been working with the fiery's on multiple spaces in their new-build. they're a young couple, recently married and were ready to leave behind their cramped dilworth condo. after an initial meeting, it was clear they wanted a neutral palette with very small pops of color. i chose these elements as the jumping off point. are you drooling over these lamps too, yeah i thought so...
the look we are after is classic with some modern elements. hmm... what's more classic than this stark antelope yumminess??? it will make the perfect first impression.
i love this carpet so much, i'm getting some for my own house, in the gray version.
so with that little preview, let's take a tour through the design boards, starting at the front porch...
i'm so looking forward to the install next week, it's going to look amazing! i think this is the most neutral design i've done, and i think it's stunning! design swell. live well.
