as we spend time with our families on this most special of holidays, we want to wish everyone a merry christmas! design swell. live well.
i've been working with my client kelly kreshon for a few months, pulling together her living room, sunroom, kitchen and mudroom. she was referred to me by my awesome client betsy simerville; check out betsy's project.
the design all started with this piece of art depicting my client's family of four. kelly loves the turquoise tones in the art, so i used it as my jumping off point. i think it's precious!
then i stumbled upon this amazing fabric...that was all i needed for inspiration!
with my jumping off points in hand, take a look at what i came up with for the kreshon's home.
kelly loves birds, so i chose a coordinating fabric/wallpaper in different colors to use in her mudroom. i think it's stunning!
the install begins december 30th, so get ready for a transformation! design swell. live well!
after a few years in texas, the carons moved back to their home in charlotte. they desperately wanted a master bedroom makeover, and when paula came calling for us to do just that, we jumped at the chance! the couple likes modern, clean lines, and my design for their master delivers just that.
this is where we're starting...
and this is where we're heading... i love the mix of cool concrete and warm rustic wood tones.
this small niche area will become a feature in the room. i plan to highlight it with a fab wallpaper and display paula's guitars as art over the vanity/work space below.
i'm super excited to share this room reveal next month, stay tuned for pics. happy holidays! design swell. live well.
i've been anxiously awaiting the install of these rooms, but i won't have to wait much longer! friday i'm heading to mooresville to install three bedrooms in an ultra contemporary home on lake norman. my client contacted us after seeing our work on houzz. she had never worked with a local designer. having only used designers from new york and canada in the past, i felt pretty special i have to say...
she wanted help on her three kids' bedrooms. take a look at my ideas for them, fun stuff!
first up, lola's room. she loves pink, if you can't tell. all we kept was her existing trundle bed.
next up, the nursery. during this process, keira started crawling out of her crib. so... the youngest is graduating to her own custom queen bed and is finally getting some window treatments!
and lastly, liam's room. he loves orange and airplanes, so you'll see both elements sprinkled around the room.
now you can see why i'm so excited for this install! this is phase one, phase two is just as much fun and tackles the playroom, theater room and craft room. can't wait to share the rest! stay tuned for pics! design swell. live well.
design is a way of life.
