it's almost friday, what a great week! today i'm sharing my latest score from craig's list (where else). a pair of mid century modern chairs for only $75! in great condition and upholstered in mohair. i love mohair, but the color isn't quite right for my space. i'm thinking i will recover them, envisioning a yummy velvet in a soft aqua. regardless, they are going to look fabulous in my living room.  Add Comment i found these chairs for a steal, $130 for the pair! i loved the shape and knew they would be awesome reupholstered. these chairs are now at home in chris and noel petty's family room in their new dilworth bungalow (see the entire project in 'living spaces'). see for yourself, but i think they are fabulous!   lately i've been on a reupholstering kick. not only is it fun (for me), i just love recycling old pieces and giving them a new and better life. it's a great way to get a custom piece for much less money. my latest find from craig's list is a $100 upholstered rocker and ottoman set for a nursery i'm working on. it looks bad now, but it won't for long! i have big plans, charcoal ultrasuede with orange buttons and piping for the chair and the ottoman is going all orange. it's going to be fabulous, i can already see it! excited to share the entire nursery in a couple months, stay tuned...  |  ashleydesign is a way of life. to me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing your vision become tangible, and the look on a client's face when they see the end result. archivesAugust 2011 categoriesAll |
